2002 1500hd Leveling

I am wanting to replace my shocks on my 02 1500 Hd crew 4x4. While I am there, I'd also like to level out the rake on my truck by cranking the Tbars. I am sure this has probably been asked a Go-zillion times and I apologize, But is this all ther is to it besides getting an alignment once I have completed this?

Will I need longer shocks because of the increased travel or just some sort of spacer?

Sorry for the noob questions.

You won't need longer shocks just from cranking the torsion bars, if you are using the stock torsion keys. You will need an alignment. Best thing to do is crank them to taste, drive around for a couple of days to let everything settle into place, and then go to the alignment shop where you can fine tune the crank at the time you do your alignment.

For additional lift, you will need a set of GM "green" keys from a non-HD 1500 series truck, as they allow for additional cam angle. With these you would be wise to upgrade to a shock designed for 0-2" of lift.

Awesome. Thanks for the reply Z'06. I have been wanting to do this for some time now but just haven't had a reason until now to do it.
