I've Officially Heard It All

So I'm trying to sell my trans am and I know the battery is pooched. I've charged it, boosted it, tried to let the car charge it and it will not hold a charge. It's got a 3yr free replacement warranty on it and a 9yr limited warranty on it. I've had it for just over a year so I take it back expecting it to be an easy swap. HAH!

I get a new manager that just admitted to the previous customer she has no idea what shes doing. She tries to hook her tester up to my battery with the cap still on the negative terminal.... Then when she goes and asks for help it comes up that it has to be charged to be tested as the charge is too low. I informed her that it WILL NOT hold ANY KIND of charge in order for them to do so. She persists that she has to charge it to get it to work. Apparently, she doesn't understand that it WILL NOT CHARGE. So I asked her, how long are you guys going to try and charge it till you realize that it will not hold a charge? She tells me it has to as there machine has to tell them that the battery is dead before they can warranty it and she's not sure how long it will take for it to charge.

At this point I'm getting pissed off, I've worked at said store, I know their protocol and what not but I also understand how batteries work. I live 20mins from this place so I can't leave it and come back in an hour so I ended up taking it home. Whoever buys the car will have to do the warranty process on there own, I can boost the car off of the lincoln and get it to at least start but ARGHHH just replace the ****ing thing!!
