Need help please. I have a '07 sierra SLT crew with bose. Bought a Nav from an 08 on Ebay. pluged it in and got the "Hot Lock". took it to the dealer to get programmed and they said that they cannot do it???? They said that my truck did not have that option from the manufactor.

I'm confussed. I read that any NBS had that capability? Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

Take it to another dealer. It is possible they just don't know how to do it.

So I am correct in that all NBS have the capability to have Nav?

By Hot Lock do you mean it displays "THEFTLOCK" on the Navigation screen?......if so it's a 5 minute programming with the TECH2 tool at the dealership to unlock and authorize your trucks VIN to the new Navigation radio.

I did exactly that with another vehicle and dealer didn't even charge me for it.

I agree, go see another dealer

Of course you'll need a few more items to make the Nav work in your truck. I assume you have the gps antenna, vss wire harness, and nav disc....

Oops, yeah "theftlock". I'll interview a couple of dealers and let them know my experiance at the other dealership. I hope to get it done as the 1st dealership said if another place could do it, they would refund me my $$ for the hour labor.
