Hi All 2 Questions Here

So I noticed my heat and a/c crapped out just recently. The blowers still work though. I'm pretty sure that the clutch on the a/c compressor always spun intermedidantly when either the heat or a/c were on but now it has stopped working.

I tested the connector going to the compressor clutch and noticed that there is no power going to this wire, fuses look good.

My coolant looks good. The hose sending coolant into the cab is nice and hot but not burning hot so I don't think its the tstat.

The outgoing hose is just warm to the touch so I'm thinking the coolant is not being cycled through.

So what would kill power to this compressor wire? Also would it be possible to create a 12v jumper from the battery directly to the clutch to see if it's working or not?

My next question is I have a rattle in my exhaust line, most likely my cat converter. Someone said it could be the honey comb inside that has broken up and rattles as I accelerate. I checked all the clamps, they look good. I'm not due for emissions til next January so Is there a way to stop the rattle somehow. Lost my job recently so I'm on a tight budget. Actually trying to get this truck in selling shape so any help would be great.

If I have to buy a new Cat converter where do you guys recommend I buy from? I'm from Richmond Hill, Ontario Canada.

Thanks

I dont know a good place to buy from, but the only way to fix the cat is to replace it. Do you know what made the cat go out, because if you get it replaced and dont know what knocked the 1st one out, then the 2nd one could get knocked out also. Personal experience.
