Just Installed Gmpp Cai!

Hi everyone,

I just installed a GMPP CAI on to my Avalanche!

It looks sweet and sounds great!

I got it off of a seller on ebay for $250.

Man, Looks great. I wonder if that tube would fit an 09 since a completed kit's N/A for now??

Regarding the GM CAI on '09 and '10 -

The MAF is completely different than my '08. I have a '10 Silverado crew in my drive right now as a loaner while my AV is having some minor warranty work done.

The '10 MAF looks like it just plugs into a hole and held in with 2 screws in the molded tube that is part of the air filter box. On my '08, the MAF is a separate component with clamps on both ends to the air box and the intake tube.

You maybe could buy an '08 GM CAI, cut the molded tube off your '10 airbox that holds the MAF and splice it it into the space between the new air box and the molded elbow that connects to the polished intake tube.

I'm pretty sure this can be done, but will require some "crossed fingers"!!

The CAI and my Flowmaster cat back has really changed how the 5.3 sounds and runs!

I just love going by hybrids and Furds and giving them a little CHEVY bark!!!

They are still available in warehouses if you know where to look. Mine just came in the mail today. It really looks like the main difference in the kits is the tube exiting the filter box though as this is where they choose to mount the maf sensor which will be different than the 07-08 models.
