I Want It All!

I just traded in my 350z on a brand new 2010 Sierra Crew Cab (Guess if it's a TX Edition) . I love it, and got every option that I really wanted, except navigation. I had a nice aftermarket Navi in the Z, and figured I could do without it, but I already miss it in the new truck. Is there a way to have it all? Here's what I'm looking for.

Retain factory bluetooth, steering wheel radio controls, onstar, rear view mirror camera

Add an aftermarket unit that has XM, DVD, Navi, iPod control that also works with the steering wheel controls.

Also, does anybody make a good amp rack that mounts maybe under a back seat? I'm torn between going seperate or just rocking a 5ch to run 1 10 & my door speakers, but the non bose system in here is weak, and I definately need to juice it up a bit. If the above isn't really possible yet, I'd prefer to just use the stock head unit to run my amp....

Go to crutchfield and they will give you a list of the adapters you'll need. Also check out http://www.pac-audio.com/

I was hoping to find someone with actual first hand experience with this. Unfortunately, I have not had good experience with PAC equipment although the concept seems good.

I've done what your are asking for in My 08 but I know there have been some changes to the 10's. Metra is also another good vendor for adapters.

I would consider factory navi option as well (might even prefer it) if I could get it to work without retrofitting bose. I imagine this would be the way to go if possible, but all the units I see say they're only compatible with bose systems. Anybody figure out how to make this work in a non bose vehicle?

I had the Pioneer F900bt in the Tahoe (bluetooth, Nav, rear camera, DVD MP3, ipod, steering controls, XM etc), liked it so much, we installed the F90BT in the TBSS. Real happy with it.

+1 on Pioneer Nav's. I have a X910BT in my truck. Everything works great, and they are highly customizable. Google Avic411 to see what can be done with the Pioneer Navi's

I am looking for the same sort of thing; however, I also need something that will work with the rear seat dvd.

My factory head unit has the CD slot, as well as a DVD slot.

Thoughts, ideas?

I had an AVIC in my last car and have done a few installs of different models. I think I would prefer factory this time around, its just such a hassle buying all the adapters and daisy chain devices to get xm, radio controls, etc to work when my truck already does those things from the factory. I'm interested in seeing how the USB iPod control looks on the 2010 Navi Screen. It works great on my factory non navi unit, so much that I may even just try to keep it if I can't find anything else that I like. The rosen unit looks nice and I like the plug and play features, however the interface looks a little bit bunk to me.
