Hey guys, im having a few weird issues and im counting on yall for some help!

2004 Chevy Silverado 4x4, RCSB 4.3 5 speed.

First off, occasionally when using my turn signal (almost always left) it will trigger my hazards. ive tried wiggling back and forth, nothing. I notice it never does it when using the right turn signal, and it will sometimes fix if i switch back and forth quickly or I adjust the steering column.

Whats going on here? Is it something I can open up and repair or is a switch going bad?

Next, my HVAC lights on the dash do not work. If i hit the dash in front of the switches the drivers side will come on, but the passenger will not. Is it just a burnt bulb? Loose wires?

Finally Id like someone to identify this shift linkage for me so I can order a new one. It rattles like crazy. See attached pic and video:

first ,remove the linkage and stuff grease in the socket ends and reinstall, fixed.,next replace the multifunction switch (signal arm assy),fixed,,,next ,replaced the HVAC control head or live with it after you find out the price, very expensive bulbs(i asked our electronic guys in the army to find bulbs for our 03 manual HVAC control head bulbs burnt and they said forget it).they are very tiny and soldered to the board

if the HVAC system is manual, you're fine ,if it auto ,the module has to be programed after installation.

multifunction switch can be replaced WITHOUT removing the steering wheel.

It is indeed manual.

That is good to know about the switch. Are there any diagrams available online?

About the linkage, take it completely off, or just the main socket that is in the picture?

If you want, you could swap your ac lights out for led's and see if that is the problem, if not you can go from there. If you do a search, there are a few write ups on changing them out to led's. It's fairly straight foward if you have a little soldering experience

When I figure out how to attach a pdf file I'll send you some removal/replacement procedures....

I did a quick search, and turned up a 03 and earlier install thread with no details?

I just had the issue with the hazards going on when I would put my left blinker on in my 04, and all it was was the flasher module that needed to be replaced. I would try that first before replacing the multifunction switch, it's cheaper/quicker/easier.

Alright, cool. Can you go into the process/location of the switch? What price did you get it for?
