6000K HIDs on mine, and lovin them. In city driving they really aren't much help (in Vegas), plenty of light around the street to light up everything. But they came to be very useful in back roads and highway driving (Oregon), they lit up everything on/or near the road beautifully but most especially the road signs.

I say go for it!

I have 4300k HID's in the low-beams,Love them!!!

I also had 4300k in the fog lights, but they were too bright and would blind oncoming traffic, and I don't want to do that to fellow motorists,Its not safe or courteous!

I got DDM 5000K in LOs and fogs. They are pretty bright. I think that there is a little color differnce between my LOs and fogs( Might be cause of different bulb styles and the LOs have that stupid reflector cone in front of them). The fogs are super bright and the LOs are better than stock.

I say do it. Its worth the money

I have HID low and fog/driving lights. I went with 5,000k, I had 6,000k on my 03 Silverado.

They work great in the low beam and GMC fog light housings.

I will never have another vehicle without HID lights, after getting used to them going back to standard is like having candles for headlights.

Please dont do it.....

The lights do not cover any more distance and they blind oncoming traffic.

Depending on where you live local law enforcement may be cracking down on them since they are illegal.

They don't blind people when you put them in projectors housings. But if you just put in the bulb they will blind people.....

The projector focuses the beam of light produced...

I've had 6000k in my low beams since the truck came home from the dealership. Also have standard 9005 Silverstars in the fogs. I'll never go back to stock.

True, but most people go with the cheap route when it comes to HIDs and just put them in the stock housing which is not designed for them. Not really getting the most out of the HIDs, and blinding on coming traffic. I'm not a hater when it comes to HIDs, its just most people don't use them correctly and buy HID bulbs on the extreme ends of the spectrums just for the colors.
