Windshield Wipers Not Working!

Yesterday I was caught in a rainstorm. Went to use the wipers and got nothing!!!

 

This morning, same thing, no wipers!

 

When the wipers are turned on, there is a definate buzzing noise however.

 

I'm just wondering if it is the windshield wiper motor, or is it more likely some little electrical switch that is shorting out??

 

Anyone have any experience with this situation???

 

(97 GMC with 5.7 vortec)

Take the cowl off to see the motor turn. My 95 the wiper arm came detached from the motor. If motor don't turn check fuse, fuse good? check for twelve volts at motor connector. 12 volts? bad motor.
