Tire Pressure Sensor

Recommended Posts

My truck is just under 5 months old now. Last night on the way to work I got a low tire pressure signal on my right front tire(reading 24 lbs).

This morning the pressure still reads the same. I get home and check for forein objects. Nothing there! So I check the pressure with a gage. It reads good. So I double check against another tire. It is the same.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I have not had this problem so far. Have you tried resetting/reprogramming the TPMS yet?

No I don't know how.

It is explained in your manual. I havent tried it yet myself but it looked to be a bit of a pain. I would suggest giving it a shot and seeing if the sensor on that particular tire (youre right front?) reads accurately. If not then you may have a bad sensor.

Read your owners manual.. Very easy to perform the re-set. IF thats not the problem, then take it in.. you have the warranty for a reason. :)

Had the same problem when I put my aftermarket wheels on, one was reading and holidng on 33 while the other 3 where reading 40. All I had to do is relearn them again and the problem fixed.

Took it to the dealer and had them reprogram it. I would be able to do it myself. But I bought a $41,000 truck. Let them deal with it.

Thank You for the responses.
