Darn Cel Returned!

Ok, last week or so I had CEL light come on, mechanic checked it. Code P0449. Replaced EVAP vent valve on Friday. CEL light goes away on Saturday. Good times. CEL returns on way home from work tonight. Frustration abounds...

 

Any suggestions??

* The control module will turn OFF the MIL during the third consecutive trip in which the diagnostic ran and passed.

* The History DTC will clear after 40 consecutive warm-up cycles without a malfunction.

* The DTC can be cleared with a scan tool.

Sounds like maybe the code was not cleared by a scan tool when the EVAP vent valve was replaced...

Maybe, what you are seeing is the 'History Code' that will eventually clear, or you can try to clear it with a scan tool or obd2 code reader
