Hello Everyone

My name is Don I am retired firefighter. I now run a small inspection business. My wife and I have 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren. We love late model dirt racing, riding our Harley, our 5 dogs and towing our toy hauler to camp at places we've never been before. We recently sold our 02 Silveraado 2500HD with a 6.0 gasser and bought a new to us 08 Silverado 2500HD with a Dmax . The old truck was a very good truck and she handled everything I threw at her up until we bought the larger toy hauler. I thought the old truck was a beast until I drove the new truck. This thing is an animal!!! We are both looking forward to our trip coming up the 4th weekend down to Natural Bridge State Park in KY. It will be nice to take a trip without stairing at the gauges and worrying if the truck is going to do something stupid like overheat or breakdown. It will also be nice to not slow down to 40 MPH on the hills.

 

I'm sure the new Dmax will not have any problem towing our 10,000lbs coach. It is our first diesel and I came here to learn how the veterans of diesel power take care of their rigs. So far this site has been very helpful answering the MANY question I have about taking care of the new gal and making her last as long as the old 02 did. Thanks to everyone for the help so far and I'll ask that you be patient with the numorous stupid questions I'm sure I'll come up with about the new diesel. Lastly thanks in advance for any and all help provided by the viewers of this site.
