Burnout Switch?

Recommended Posts

Tonight me and my buddy made a switch in his nissan titan. basically what we did is splice this wire i think it was for traction control, and connected each end to a switch inside the cabin so when the switch was off traction control was on when it was on traction control was off. again i think its traction control not sure. we took it out and litterally didnt even have to touch the gas much and the tires spun so much.

Anyone know how to do this on a 2006 sierra 5.3l?

You need to tune it and remove the torque management as well as disconnecting any traction control you may have

I can turn off Traction Control & Stabilitrak with a switch, but every time I turn on the truck Traction Control & Stabiltrak are on. It gets annoying having to turn it off every time I start the the truck.

Yeah, I don't need it though. That's one of the things I liked about my 2006, no traction control or stabiltrak.

You know, what you could do is set up a relay wired in behind the switch that is triggered by your ignition -- that way when the key is turned the relay sends a "button press" signal that automatically disables TC/ST without user intervention....

but then that god damn light is always on in the cluster

Put a piece of electrical tape over it. Or remove the bulb. Or go back to a GMT-800 (they're better anyway :happysad: ).
