Which Oil Filter for 5.3 99'

My brother has a 99' with a 5.3 and the book states the PF58 where as mine states the PF59. Whats the difference, and what should he use??

use the PF59.  

 

The only difference is the PF59 has an antidrainback valve.

For what it's worth now, my owner's manual came with a loose leaf paper with an update about using the PF59, so they must have made the change after printing up the manuals, or somebody had a typo?

 

I'd think it's not that critical as the filter is open end up when mounted, but I'd stick w/ the PF59 anyways.
