Newbie - New 2010 Sierra Owner

Just wanted to drop in an say HI. I bought a new 2010 Sierra crew cab Z60 last Tuesday. I went with carbon black with black leather. I drove it home from the dealer Tuesday and it hasn't moved since. Since I have a take home car from work, and the rain all week, I've left it inside. My trucks only get about 4-5K miles annually. I've put 3 coats of Zaino on it and it shines like mad. I'll post a pic when I can get it outside.....if the rain ever stops.

My current list of extras to add are 1) tint, 2) Line-X the bed, 3) cab steps (5" Raptor I think), 4) Firestone airbags, and 5) maybe a stock chrome grille overlay.

I traded in a 2007 Ram 1500. The Sierra is SO much nicer inside and rides much better than the Ram. The only thing I miss is the Hemi power.

......snipped........

Great - so where would one find this 3 or 4 year old Ram with 15 to 20k miles ??? Autoway or Dimmit?

I can't remember a time that I brought a new, or new to me, car home that it wasn't also raining here in Clearwater.

Looks like it may be a few days before you'll get that new truck out... Enjoy the ride...

Congrats on the new truck. As for power (or lack thereof), you'll find one word around here that seems to be the cure...Blackbear.

It's at Dick Norris in Clearwater....with 14,700 miles. I didn't like the ride or the interior after having it for a couple years.

Oh...da.. you did say Sierra... Dick Norris serviced our Yukon XL and we were usually pretty pleased with them. I don't see anything on their Web Site - but that is not unusual.. with that mileage, and most likely excellent care - it was probabily sold within hours.

I'm sure you'll love that new Sierra...

FWIW,

The guys at Dick Norris were great, very easy to deal with. I got a great deal, and they weren't pushy at all. I don't think the Ram lasted long at all. I haven't been back by to see if it's still there, but I doubt it.

I ordered 4" stainless Raptor cab steps and Firestone air bags last night. Need to call about Line-X and tint today.
