i have a 1998 GMC Sierra 1500 pick up. my truck will fire up, idle and drive as if there is no problems. after driving for about 15min or about 15 miles the truck will bog down and die. if i try to start it again it will only turn and not fire. if i let it completly cool down the truck will then once again fire up and run as if there is no problem at all.

some additional info: if i turn the truck to the on position and not turn it over i can hear the fuel pump loudly and clearly. once the truck is running i can hear the fuel pump running. after the truck fails if i turn the truck on and not try to turn it over again i can still hear the fuel pump but not as loud as before. after the truck cools the pump is loud again. ive tried to releave the purssure in the fuel system and listen to the pump when the truck fails i can hear it but again it is not loud. any help would be very greatful oh and my truck is an extended cab 5.7L vortec

thanks.

Check your fuel pressure regulator and also check the fuel pump pressure. That's one direction to go
