In your fuel or crankcase or intake? Personally i wouldnt use it at all. If youre looking for a fuel system cleaner try gumout regane, redline sl-1, or techron.

Has anyone ever used seafoam? I hear people say it is good but I'm noy sure......

It's good if your engine is dirty, it usually will improve your mpg a little bit for a while too. I use MMO in my gas for about 2 tanks and it does the same for me. Seafoam is for smoke shows riding up and down the neighborhood.

I've used seafoam and Chevron Techron, and I gotta say I noticed a HUGE improvement with the Chevron, and I was using seafoam about every 6k miles. Seafoam is a good product, but I would keep it in the shed for the mower and weed wacker. If your fuel system is dirty, you're gonna need a solvent like the Chevron stuff, or I've heard the redline is really good too.

Would this be safe to put in the NNBS trucks? & how long does that stuff last?

Yes it's safe to use in the fuel system. Do you mean how long between treatments?

Like when your hitting the gas & the exhaust smoke is white fluffy looking.

It lasts a few minutes depending on how bad your truck is. I did it on my old '01 Silvy with 135K and it lasted about two minutes. A neighbor with a Prius drove by right when it started smoking

Well my truck has 120K on it. So I'm gonna give it a try.

whats the process here... does it go into the fuel tank or what?

After warming up your engine. Keep the engine running at a high idle and locate either the PCV valve or the brake booster vacuum line. Choose which one you'd like to use and disconnect it.

Using the PCV valve pour about 1/3 of the can in. If you use the vacuum line, pour 1/3 of the can into a container and then use the vacuum line to suck it out of the cup. If the engine stalls before you get it in, try sucking the fluid in slower. You may want to cover part of the line with a finger. When you have 1/3 of the can in the car turn off the engine.

Pour 1/3 can of Seafoam into your gas tank.

Pour 1/3 can of Seafoam into your oil via the crankcase.

Wait about 5-15 minutes.

Start the engine back up. You may need to give it a little gas to keep it from stalling. Expect to see a fair amount of smoke, so you'll want good ventilation. Do this at night or away from people to avoid bugging the neighbors. Idle your car for a few minutes and then take it for a drive.

Expect to change your oil in the next few hundred miles. Seafoam is not for long term use in the oil.

I use to do it on my 2000 Z28 once a year and worked great. When I did my heads and cam, my entire topend components were clean! My heads had no sludge at all. Everything was impecable. I haven't done it to my truck yet but I'm gonna

I would actually put 1 and 1/3 can in the fuel tank. It might be a little more than what they recommend on the can, but it won't hurt to do it once, especially if you don't use fuel injector cleaner often

    • The LCA bolts are NOT a one time use fastener.  GM does not have them called out as such at all.   They are torque plus degree, but not a one time use TTY.  Nowhere in the service manual does it call out for replacing the LCA bolts for being one time use.  The factory spec would apply to the Moog bolts as well.    I see two things different.  The Moog bolts are greaseable (which I see no point in) and they don't have one of the washers welded to the bolt like the factory bolts, so they can be used in all 4 positions.      Think about it.  The LCA bolts are now the alignment adjustment point, instead of the UCA bolts like the prior generation.  A bolt that is meant to be adjusted for alignment...would it make sense to make it a one time use component?  How would you get an alignment done in the first place?  You couldn't.       Also.  What TSB exactly?  There is no TSB that I see for 2019-2026 for over-torquing LCA bolts.  There was a PI, PIT5533C, but that covered 2014-2018 body trucks for re-torquing LCA mounting bolts.  But those trucks to a 2019-2026?  Not the same, so PIT5533C does not apply.
    • Nice looking setup!  Is this the kit you got?  If so 211 is a great deal!  https://accessories.chevrolet.com/product/trailering-camera-system-86584184   My TT came with a wireless rear camera but it only works on an app or a separate screen they sell so I've decide it's not worth the hassle since it keeps disconnecting and with wireless android auto it's a hassle trying to connect my phone to it.  So I've been thinking about adding the GM camera so it's integrated into the rest of the camera views.   I also found this one which seems to be a different PN & retail price that explicitly states the invisible trailer view https://www.shopchevyparts.com/chevrolet/2024/silverado-2500-hd/electronics/85825715-silverado-2500-trailer-camera-transparent-view-requires-trg-camera-provisions-p-92326971.html?sort=2a
    • You didn't say what year it is. I have a '17 5.3 6l80e & used the Range AFM delete for a while to stay in V8 mode. Then I got a local tuner to preform a HPTune on my 6l80e & love it. He did a AFM delete, torque matching between engine & transmission, removed converter slip and mild engine tune that helps the transmission. Gears shift better, at specific speeds, no hunting for gear, no 2 gear down shifts, no spark plug miss feel. Drives like a different truck. I highly recommend it.
    • I know this old thread but I just replaced the left side engine mount on my 2018 5.3 2wd and it was a pain. A quick search showed that it was probably going to cost around $600 to $900 to get it replaced. I researched how to replace it and decided to do it myself being that I'm retired and have the time and tools. What should have taken a day took me 4 days plus a couple trips to my chiropractor and some blood. Why a mount failed at 150k miles is beyond me but such is life.   Peace
