Weird Ac Problem

The AC in my truck works perfect, except for whenver I turn it to 5, i hear a click and it stops blowing air like its been turned off. But I can turn the knob back to 4 and it will start blowing ice cold air. What the heck could this be?

2 Possible issues:

1: HVAC controller is screwed up (would need a new one) = expensive

2: Resistor on level 5 has gone out (would need a new one) = not expensive, just time consuming for a DIY

 

mine had both and the dealership replaced the HVAC after using the tech 2 to identify that it had failed. 30 seconds outside the dlrship lot, 5 stopped working, flipped around and took it right back in, then it was identified as the resistor and the guy said that it would be 2-3 days to replace...since then, no issues. level 5 resistor is inside the lower dash and it is not fun to get to.
