Baer Big Brake Kit

I did not want to pay a buttload $1300 for an upgrade kit for my truck, so I called up PBR who makes the calipers for my truck's Baer Alumisport kit. #4301038. This is a 14" upgrade kit for my 2006 Silverado crew Z71. I think, based on what Baer reps told me, that it will fit the NNBS trucks also but I would confirm with them. PBR allowed me to purchase the calipers directly from them for about $120 each. I thought they would be base metal and such, but it turns out that they come powder coated red with the Baer print on them, and the extension bracket all together.

 

I asked if they cared if I share the info and on case others would like to order directly from them if it was ok, and was given the ok to do so.

 

Caliper info: Calipers are from a Chrysler 300C, and use pads sized FMSI# D1058. The calipers are PBR number B862-365PL and B862-366PL.

 

Rotors from Baer are on backorder for another two weeks so I can't do the mod yet, but considering the amount of money I saved it is ok.

 

Total money spent is $240 fr calipers, $72 for Hawk HPS pads, and $400 for the rotors (I KNOW THAT IS EXPENSIVE) but overall it is a hell of a deal for the kit.

 

I will post more pics when I get the rotors and do install.
