New 07+ Trucks Manual Swap?

Okay guys pardon me if this is a stupid question, im not a truck guy but am interested in buying one.

 

Question:

 

The older silverado v6s (the gen b4 current) came with a similar 4.3 vortec and a manual trans. So with a donor older truck would it be possible to bolt up the manual trans into a newer truck 07+ v6 with the pedals and misc parts...?

 

 

I know alot of people are disapointed with no manual option so i was just wondering.... thanks in advance!

Anything is possible with enough time, money and talent but is it worth it?

Anything is possible..... I had a 1975 F100 Ranger Explorer. Which had all working systems less the radio from a 2004 F150 (ABS included). Even went as far to change the entire front suspension components over from the '04......... The only give a way it was not the old '75 was it had the rims from the '04 on it.. Well, and it did sound quite different than the old 390 cranking up also..

 

Given time and your capable of the work ahead anything is possible... You could even make it full on electric and charge it with a kerosene powered jet generator, if you wanted tooo.

lol thanks guys but i mean would it be something that isnt AS difficult as a custom job? B/c know with money anything is possible. yeayea but i mean would it be easier then custom? B/c it already exists or is the new 4.3 and drivetrain of 07+ completety different?

Its more about the electronics and clutch system really.

I do know of a 2008 Reg. Cab truck that came with a 5.3L/ 4 sp auto that had a 6.2L / 6 sp (T56) swapped in. It's possible, it takes some money, but nothing too extreme. There will be some custom work involved, but it can be done.
