Third Brake Light Trouble Shooting

I recently replaced my third brake like on my 95 silverado ca and a half. When I turn on the cargo lamp that part works but when I put it in reverse or use the brake, neither of those work. The regular tail lights work fine and I checked fuses and they seem fine but I have run out of things I can think of the try. Anyone have advice?

Mine ened up being the CHMSL fuse. Didn't have a clue what that stood for until I did some more searching. Center high mounted stop light.
