Engine Compartment Squeak While Accelerating?

Hello..

I have a 2007 Yukon Denali..... and I've noticed an unusal squeaking lately...

The squeaking seems to be coming from the engine compartment.... However I only hear the squeaking upon initial acceleration from a stop. The squeak does not occur at idle.... It only occurs from a stop upon depression of the accelerator and remains constant until you let off the gas pedal or reach a speed above 40mph ---- then I just can't hear it anymore probably due to road and wind noise....

I even started the engine up and let it idle --- no noise. Then I reved the engie a bit with a constant push on the gas pedal while in park..... No noise. I then go and put the vehicle in drive and begin to accelerate.... I can then hear the squeaking....

Any ideas before I take it to the dealer?

Sure its from the engine. Sounds to me like u-joints. If you only hear it when your in gear and when you hit the gas. That would be when the drive shaft is under pressure. Just a thought.
