Trailer Connector

My running lamp circuit on my trailer connector does not seem to be working. There is no corrosion on the connector, and I tested it directly with a multimeter and got nothing. All other circuits work fine. Any ideas what the issue might be?

how did you test it?..with it plugged in?.

how did you hook the meter to it....or did you test continuity of that wire along?

4 blade flat, 6 way meatl plug(pole) or 7 way RV blade style?

Are the tail light bulbs blown?...(are they dual filament bulbs)

Are they "self grounding"?....through threaded mounting studs, or

are they sealed rubber mounted lights with a ground wire?

are there multiple "running" lights on the trailer,..I.E. amber makers on the front corners or side that run on the same circut?

in other words,...wire circutry is a hard thing to test...over the phone persay,....ya know.

Here are a few diagrams to help.

...sorry,..I just assumed you were talking about the trailer end...

No worries. I actually tested it by touching the probes of the multimeter to the running lamp and ground prongs of the 7 pin outlet on the back of the truck. No trailer or connector hooked up so I have traced the issue back as far as the truck. Tail lights of the truck were obviously on when I tested. I tested the other circuits (left and right lamp) and they both worked so I know the ground is good.
