Cruise Control Indicator Light?

Hi All,

Recently, I re-purchased a 1997 GMC Yukon that I sold to a friend about 5yrs ago.

The 97 willbe my son's 1st vehicle.

On my newer Yukon ('01&UP) when the cruise is activated an indicator lights on the dash.

The cruise on the 97 works fine but I do not see an indicator on the dash when it is in use.

I don't remember if it ever had one or not.

Can anyone shed an indicator light on this for me?

lol I like the pun. It probably doesn't have one. My 95 doesn't. If I'm not mistaken, I believe GM started putting the indicator lights on vehicles somewhere between 98 and 2000. My fiancee's 99 malibu has one.

I was out driving my 97 today on the highway with the cruise on ... and there was no cruise indicator light ... I never thought about it before but I guess the 97's don't have that feature

How did we ever use cruise before the light? Hmmm......mystery.

2000 Silvy has it.

 

96 Blazer doesn't...or else it just doesn't work. I have a lot of dash lights that go on and off at their whim (ie: DRL light will turn on and off randomly)
