Changing Gears On A 4x4

Just out of curiosity, how much should a gear change from 3.73 to 4.10s cost?

 

I understand with a 4x4 you need to change both the front and rear and since it is new, GM parts are supposed to be used.

 

Any idea?

 

I have 3.73s now. I am going to start pulling a travel trailer/toy hauler. I figured I start to look into it in case I need to change gears for increased towing capacity.

3.73 to 4.10 isnt worth the money, but to answer your question it would be around 600-1000 bucks depending on where you take it and what brand of gears you get

i've been quoted $1200 by several sources. that includes parts.

In my area cheapest I could find was $1250 out the door for the gears, install kit and labor

 

But changing gears doesn't really increase towing capacity... just makes it easier to tow the same weight.
