Alternator Dillema

Ok...heres the deal...got a 2001 tahoe w/6 alpine amps...2 yellow top batteries...I put on an externally regulated 200 amp alternator...im running it at 15 volts right now...truck has no problems like i was informed saying that it would act as a rev limiter b/c truck cant handle more than 14.1...thats wrong..ok..on to the question..since i dont have the stock regulator plugged in the battery light is constantly on..the car thinks i dont have an alternator...personally I would love to put the dual alternator setup from a diesel on my 5.3...but i dont know if the bracket for duals would fit..seriously doubt it...anyone know?...anyone know also how i can get my battery light and computer to think i have an alternator plugged in...thanks...
