Anybody else had problems with the chrome peeling away on thier factory wheels? I have an 07' YD with the factory 20" Chrome Wheels and im' dissapointed with the quality. I have (133,000km) or 82,000 Miles on my truck. Will GM warranty cover this?

Unfortunately you have too many miles to be covered under warranty, wheels are covered under the bumper-to-bumper warranty for 3 years/36,000 miles.

Agreed. New Chinese wheels suck. I was fortunate in that mine started pitting within 3 months of ownership. Bitched enough that they gave me a 3 year 60K warranty on all 4. I had them replaced a couple months ago on GM's dime and I am very happy. Just have to decide if I want to use them for my winter wheels like my old oems or ebay them. Glad GM stood behind them though!

Had the same thing happen to my '07 wheels. All four wheels had some form of peeling and pitting. I took it into the dealer, at first they didn't think that it was a big deal and that it was normal wear and tear. Of course, I disagreed and they took pictures.

I took it back several months later for service and the previous service advisor was no longer with the dealer. The new advisor agreed that it was an issue and they ordered 4 new ones.

They were replaced at about 33,500 miles with the vehicle now having 37,000 miles.

i will say that the replacement wheels weren't quite as good out of the box as what you will see on a brand new Denali sitting on the lot.

the factory chrome wheels always had issues even as far back as 1998.
