if youve never dragged before, your first bunch of runs will be crappy. took me a bit of time to get the tree right. if you get ur tree bang on you might hit the 14's...do you have 4:10's? or 3:73's? and urs is a 4 speed too eh? i dont know actually, i think ive watched vids on youtube of guys runnin those times. never seen one in person before so i dunno.

Wow 06sierravmax you really hooked up good, was this on the factory Bridgestone tires? The MPH is low for the ET.

Yes that time was on the factory Bridgestones. I think I held it at 1500rpms then floored it at the light. From what I have seen and heard this is a normal time and mph for these trucks. Here are the three runs I did. The first run was fastest.modifieddr4.th.jpg

It should run high 14s, the 6.2 & 6 Speed with exhaust, intake & tune should run low 14s to high 13s.

There is no way that a 6.2 extended cab pickup will run anywhere near 13 second 1/4 mile times, you are talking a 5,300 # vehicle. The exhaust (cat back ) & a intake will only gain you a few horsepower , the factory exhaust actually flows very close to any of the aftermarket makers. All that you will get for your $$$ with a cai & exhaust is NOISE, not performance, a custom tune will help though

Actually, the 6.2 will crack a 13.9 or better with a good tune, intake and exhaust. Most of it comes from relieving the nannies built in for the 6-speed with the tune.

I have 6.2L with exhaust, cold air intake and Edge tuner and mine is a 4X4 crew cab and with traction problems ran 14.4 in the 1/4 mile So yes 13.9 is very reachable.
