Hopefully someone can help me out with this... I have to go on a business trip and i will be parking my 2010 GMC Serria 1500 Crew Cab SLE in a parking garage. The clearence in the gagare for the hotel is 6'. I do not have the spec sheet available right now, can anyone tell me the stock height of a un-loaded 2010 Serria 1500. Will i clear a 6' parking garage?

Thanks

Josh

best thing would be go and measure your truck yourself then there will be no surprizes

Couldn't have said it better than Rob, myself.

I have never seen a 6' clearance in a parking garage. I would definitely measure it myself just to know. My guess is you will fit, but barely.

the top of the antenna is higher than the roof line if you still have a visible antenna

I was in San Antonio for Labor day weekend and was going to park in the self park garage for the hotel and then I seen the 6' mark on the sign, I almost tempted but the truck wouldn't have fit, I'm 5'10" and the truck is more then 2" taller then me, it also has that nice little plastic antenna that adds a couple of inches.

Seems like walking out in the driveway with a measuring tape would be alot easier than getting on the internet and waiting for someone to find a spec sheet for you, but maybe that's just me.

Trust me, it's not just you.

I parked in a parking garage in Destin when on spring break last year, much to my dismay but my companions were whining about walking, so i just did it. It was before my new tires luckily because I got in there and went to go down a ramp and was being told by the others in the truck "Oh yeah you're fine... You're gonna clear" "Plenty of room"

So I put the truck in park to look and I nearly shat myself right there. I dont' know how the antenna on top cleared but the roof of my truck was MAYBE 1/4-1/2" away from concrete. I couldn't fit a finger between concrete distruction and my roof. I don't know how I got it turned around and back up that ramp to get out but I was freaking out. It took me about 20 minutes to get back out. It was a bad feeling.

Lesson is don't try to push it... its a bad bad feeling getting into the garage and realizing you can't get back out very easy.
