Ignition Tumbler

2001 Silverado Got a new tumbler from dealer and had it keyed to fit my original key so I would'nt have to carry an extra set.Got home and pulled the old tumbler out and re-installed new tumbler now the key and tumbler are locked in the off posistion wont turn either way,can't get the new tumbler out.1st question is can this tumbler be put in a tooth off or will it just go in 1 way.I can put my key in and open door and the secuirty light will flash and door chimes are on but can't get the key to turn .So I am wondering if the key was keyed correctly.How in the heck do I get the tumbler back out ?

NO it will only go in 1 way ,go get a new key cut from a locksmith not wallyworld and it will work like a champ
