looking for a new truck.....gm is offering $8000 in cash credits....how do these cash credits work.....id like to know how they work before i go in and wheel a deal....basically i dont wanna look like a dummy....lol

They take that amount off the price of the truck... it's basically a sale price.

Yep, the 8000.00 comes off before tax!

 

In Saskatchewan they also have 750.00 in free GM accessories, the retire your ride program (3000.00 off after tax if you have a car 1996 or older) and a loyalty program. If your a current GM owner you get 1000.00. If your a Pontiac owner you get 1500.00. The loyalty programs are taken off the price after tax.

 

I'm going to pick up a new one today. They were able to drop 12,000.00 in total (the 8 plus another 4) on a 2010.

 

48k truck for 34,800.00 tax in!
