Help Me Out... Front End Issue

Recommended Posts

in the front end(driver side) of my 01 GMC 2500 HD i have aquired a kind of bounce like a wobble... if your in the passenger side you dont feel the bounce/wobble its more of an up/down wobble than left/right but i guess it could be a left right wobble maybe? this happend maybe 5K ago the truck has only done 48K its gotten progressively worse. if the truck rides over a bump and your in the passenger it takes it as a single bump...while driving its a BUMP then wobble wobble wobble.....I just replaced the shocks thinking this was the issue, but clearly it was not although i do believe the shocks improved it a little bit. Could it maybe be a Bad Steering Stabilizer? or could my wheel be a little loose and have slight play in it? HELP ME OUT GUYS  please?

Thanks,

have you checked for loose front end parts? a cord busted in the tire? try rotating tires and see if it improves. loose lug nuts? just throwing out some ideas.....

great dude thanks um... honestly no but i just installed the ranchos like 2 days ago and i must say that they improved the problem.... the tire was removed to install the front ranchos.... i mean the lugs are all snug so i really dont know.... also theirs a squeak in the suspension sometimes when i brake also front end driver side...im sure its not the brakes being worn cause its a squeak when the suspension levels out after braking. and the sqeak can also happen when turning either direction(only occurs on the driver side) also when i climb in and out of the truck (i only weigh 150lbs) so its not like its my weight

Take it to Midas or somewhere that does free estimates and have them check it then if you feel up to it, you can do the work yourself.

I think you just have to take the wheel off and check for top/bottom & left&right play, no? Not to mention you can do alot just by looking at for wore parts... Also take a look at your shocks.... Good Luck!

thanks i think ill try removing the tire but the shocks are brand new Rancho Rs5000 and i had the problem on the old shocks also so im basicly ruleing out its not a set of bad shocks. could if be any other front end steering or suspension components?

thanks,
