Volt Guage Low Reading On 2010 Silverado

My 2010 Silverado Volt Guage is giving low reading, below 13 when I decelerate. When I accelerate, it moves back to over 14 volts. I have never seen a volt guage do this except when the alternator or battery is going bad. I have just over 700 miles on this truck. Is this normal?

it is normal.the alt turns on and off by computer.it senses load and works accodingly.i believe the owners manual covers this.

Thanks, nathan60. I should have read the manual first. Page 4-16 discusses Electric Power Managment. Never had this before. I'll read the manual. Most likely other new things since 2007.
