6.0l Manifold Bolts

Which years did GM have the problem with the manifold bolts? I know my 2004 had the problem bolts, but when did GM address the problem(If they ever did I should say).

not jut the 6.0 its the 8.1 also and i needed new bolts and gaskets and um my trucks an 01 8.1 so im guessting all the 00'-06 or 07'

i dont believe they ever did, my NBS 2007 had had then break and as far as manifolds and bolts go i know they are the same through 2010. the nice part is that they are covered under the 5 year 100000 powertrain warranty

When did they start with the 5 year 100K warrenty? I believe it was with the 2007 NBS trucks...

i think it was before that but im not sure, 06 maybe? i could be wrong

the very rear manifold bolt on my 06 and my buddies 05 both broke off. Didn't look at any others to date, just noticed those two on the trucks.

Also, for the 5 year 100k warranty, My dad bought an 07 sierra half ton in mid 07 two weeks before the warranty came out. It wasnt in his purchase agreement but they stood behind it because he was so close to it. I think that was for the 07.5 trucks, the nnbs.

what is the cure for the broken bolts.....just keep replacing them????? my 03 6liter just had it done again, passenger side, 2 of them broke

Rear driverside broken off on my '04. Gonna go see if the dealer will take care of it. Any suggestions on how to go about that?

I wonder if ARP makes replacement studs that can handle a little more stress?

The manifold bolts also had a problem with the 5.7's going back into the 90's. GM came out with a revised bolt in late 04 which I have and so far so good after a couple years.
