285/70/17's

The last set of 285's I had were on my 2004 truck. I sold that truck 2 years ago. I just went back to 285's on my 2008 truck. Is it me or these tires running smaller than they use to be? They look smaller......

What tire is it? 285/70/17 is basically a 33x11.50 but exact sizes for different tires vary. Although, the actual variation is minimal and shouldn't be noticed(.1 or.2"). Should look exactly the same as they did 2 years ago.

Can you run the 285 70 17 on your halfton without a leveling kit? or will they rubb?

I think they would rub without a leveling kit. I have the RC leveling kit and there is plenty of room. No rubbing at all. If you want to run 285s you need to bring the nose up some.
