New Wheels And Tires W/ Rc 2" Kit

Hey guys, so my dad's wanting to get some new tires and wheels before the snow flies. He was just going to get tires, as the stock goodyears aren't doing to hot anymore with only 27K on them. But anyway, since the stock 17's are getting a little ate up from the salt and what not, he's probably going to get some new rims also. I need some help with determining what rim specs and tire specs. to go with.

 

His truck is an 08 GMC CCSB with stock 265/17's and a 2" Leveling kit.

 

1. Tires

Stock 265/75/17's, want to upgrade to a either a 285/70/17, or the equivilent in 18" rims. What would the equivilent, or the closest that will still fit with the leveling kit? New tires with probably be Zeon LTZ's or Toyo Open Country A/T's

 

2. Rims.

NOT BLACK. Looking for either a 17" or 18", not sure yet. What would offset/backspacing should I shoot for in each size. Probably a 17X8 or 18X9?

I've been looking at the Eagle 050's, in the Super Finish, which is a machine with black inlay.

 

Probably looking to stay away from chrome, but we're open to any ideas/reccomendations.

We'd also like to get these ordered/bought before the snow flies.

285/65/18 is the most popular size with the 2" level.

I ran 275/70/18.

Not real sure about off set probably as close to stock as possible.

 

I like those wheels you pictured

Do you have any pics. of your 275's? I see they are narrower, but taller that the 285/65's I'd like to see some pics to compare the size

Wider and shorter looks more aggressive than narrower and taller.

I like those wheels you posted. They look very similar to my Vision Warrior 375's. Mine are 17x8.5 with +25mm offset. You'll want to say with a positive offset. Stock wheels are +31mm.
