Finally the Costar Bluestar 2010 Group Buy is available here, now. After many emails to Costar Technologies, Chris he has agreed to give us this "special group buy price" of $225.00 US without the normal minimum order of 10 units, now there's no worry of getting back your rebate. For those of you not familiar with the Bluestar 2010, it is a module that replaces the onstar (onstar no longer works) found in many GM vehicles 2002 and newer. Most people do not use the onstar after the free period. This Bluestar 2010 has the bluetooth function that works seamlessly with the onstar microphone and stereo speakers already in you vehicle. For now vehicles 2007 and newer will have caller I.D. displayed in the D.I.C. Updates from the Costar website can be added via the usb port and a laptop.

so is this a new mirror or a module that goes inline witht he existing setup, kicks onstar out and uses the mirror button to make calls and the button on the steering wheel and such? does it have a voice dial feature aswell or just stored contacts?

there is no shipping charges to anywhere the total price is $225.00 in US funds. this is a special rate I arranged with the owners of Costar Technologies. you don't need anything else

yes steering wheel controls will work with the bluestar

The BlueSTAR replaces the onstar VCIM module. It uses the existing onstar mirror, and microphone to connect to your cell via Bluetooth.

 

As such, it uses the voice dialing capabilities of your cell, and can access your cell phones contacts directly. No need to store any contacts in the BlueSTAR.
