You'll need a lot more than that if you want your turn signal tone to work... and a host of other goodies. You have to buy the interface modules to upgrade head units in these trucks.

I did not know that all went through the radio on the GMT900's.

Could you elaborate on this? Never heard of an interface module...is that something provided by GM, the aftermarket Stereo manufactorer or a third party?

GM trucks and cars have a GM LAN (a serial local area network) in the vehicle for communication to most of its different modules including the radio/HU. I have a Tahoe and to use an after market HU and have everything still work I had to add a PAC OS4 module and some additional break out cables. They can get expensive but if you look around the web you can get them cheaper just be aware that some continuously get firmware updates and you may need the latest to get all the (literally) bells and whistles. So the exact interface module depends on your year model vehicle and the options you have and want to keep (e.g. onstar). I suggest going the PAC and Schosch sites and using their application guides. You can also get more information on the other truck sites like tahoeyukonforum dot com (and there are others).

What do I have to do do to make that annoying sound go away? Also if we could make the fasten seatbelt noise disappear, that would be cool too.
