Park Tilt Mirrors

I have an 09 Silverado Ext. Cab with the OSRV Mirrors that are self dimming, heated, and fold in, however I can't find where I can program the park tilt feature so the mirrors tilt down when the truck goes in reverse. As I read in the owners manual about the mirrors it says it can be programmed in the DIC Customize Setting options but I don't see it.

Does that mean I don't have that option?

You apparently don't have that option.

 

 

Park Tilt Mirrors

If the vehicle has the memory package, the passenger

and/or driver mirror tilts to a preselected position when

the vehicle is in R (Reverse). This feature lets the driver

view the curb when parallel parking. The mirror(s)

return to the original position when the vehicle is shifted

out of R (Reverse), or the ignition is turned off or to

OFF/LOCK.

Turn this feature on or off through the Driver Information

Center (DIC). See DIC Vehicle Customization (With DIC

Buttons) on page 3-75 for more information

(With DIC Buttons)

Your vehicle may have customization capabilities that

allow you to program certain features to one preferred

setting. Customization features can only be programmed

to one setting on the vehicle and cannot be programmed

to a preferred setting for two different drivers.

 

All of the customization options may not be available on

your vehicle. Only the options available will be

displayed on the DIC.

 

The default settings for the customization features were

set when your vehicle left the factory, but may have

been changed from their default state since then.

The customization preferences are automatically

recalled.

There is an option called Factory Settings.

 

Would it be in there?

that will reset any options you have selected (like lights on when unlocking etc) back to factory settings

mines gonna be a little different, but i hit the button that brings up vehicle serttings, and then its in there. you can change the display units, language, what the truck does when you lock and unlock it, change the alarm notifications aswell, and its got the park tilt mirrors in there too

do you have memory seats?

 

if not you don't have it..

 

 

but it's an annoying ass feature anyway, doesn't work well or consistent.. if need my mirrors tilted down I can do it myself.. hardly if ever need to though, as I know the dimensions and area around my vehicle.. never once curbed a wheel in any car and I can parallel park my Avalanche into a space most Smart car drivers would be afraid of..
