Just now got around to telling it to you.

I bought the 2005 GMC 2500HD Crew Cab 4x4. So far it has been a great truck. Got the title and it was a one owner. Mileage when he drove it off the lot was under 200, cant recall for sure. The truck was 100% straight with no signs of wrecks, car fax said it was clean but I never trust those things. Exterior had some rock chips on it. But that is expected with 140k on the clock. Dealer that I bought it from was unfamilar with history, they said it was a trade in and they bought it from the dealer. Dealer didnt want it bc it had over 100k.

I googled the owners name and got a phone number. I told him I bought his old truck. He was very nice. He was an older guy, you could tell by the voice and he told me he was hard of hearing(made it a little tuff asking questions). He told me he traded it in on a brand new 2500hd and wishes he kept the older one. He said it was that good of a truck. I asked him about maintance, he said oil was changed every 3k. He said the trans went out on him when he was on a trip. He stopped by a GMC dealer and they put in a new trans at 140k. The only other thing he stated was the a/c wasnt blowing right and he had a valve replaced, said it cost him $200. Only thing he towed was a motorcycle, said he took it up to Stergis every year, hense the mileage. He also asked me how I liked the running boards. I said there arent any on it? Come to find out he had the power running boards on it. I recall seeing the dealers 2006 GMC Duramax with them on it. Guess the dealer wanted them on his truck......Sucks, would have been nice to have those. Said he never had brakes put on the truck, said it never needed them???? I rotated the tires the other day, and the rotors and pads look brand new, front and rear.

Made me feel a little better knowing the history behind my truck. Can the 3 year warranty be transfered on the trans?

Congrats on the purchase. Not suprised about the running boards. Many dealers take parts off trade-ins for their own use.
