I just finished installing Rough Country's 2" leveling kit. I want to give a big thanks to KDRChuck for making an installation video. The video was very easy to follow and a simple way to install the kit.

The 2" lift made my truck look perfect... I love the new look! Sorry for the crappy cell phone picture.

Thanks for the plug. There Was only one install video o. YouTube and it was a pro, on a lift, making it look a lot more difficult. I just wanted to show that it is easily done in your driveway.

You can also search YouTube for snowmanjon. He videoed and posted it.

WOW. how long did it take that way? It seems like its ALOT less than what the directions say!

70min total 2nd side took 15 or 20 minutes. I think I could do it agai in less than an hour.

Air tools help, too! :P

Just be sure you leave the upper ball joint nut barely on. If you don't, you won't have any room to slide in the spacers. I had a hard time doing the left side because I didn't unthread the nut far enough. lol

I just finished installing Rough Country's 2" leveling kit.

Guys....please explain what the benefits of installing a leveling kit are besides doing away with the front end rake. I have had my '10 Z71 for a few months and no, I don't like the look of the rake but I don't think it's that bad. Or do I need to see a leveled truck to get a true comparison??

I have been thinking about putting in about a 2" leveling kit but I just don't have enough experience with them to make a final decision about doing it.

I have also read that the rear end will sag when towing if you put in a leveler. Is that true? So why do it? Is it just for looks?

Thanks guys.......input is appreciated.

A few reasons people do front levelling.. mostly for "looks", but it also allows you to mount larger tires (clearance).

Yes potentially when loaded (or hitched) you would appear to 'sag' in the back. Hence, I'm also installing rear blocks to maintain some rake (and avoid sag when I'm hitched). It will give me a couple more inches clearance overall, and will be able to increase tire size.
