3.08 Gears Help

Hello, I am new to this forum and I had a question about 3.08 gears in my 2010 Silverado 1/2 ton Z-71. The engine is a 5.3 L with a 6 speed automatic transmission. I am planning on putting a 2.5'' leveling kit and adding 20'' XD Monsters rims with 285/55/20 Nitto Terra Grappler tires. I have 3.08 gears in my pickup and was just wondering what i can expect my truck to drive like with this addition. Will the 3.08s be fine or would an upgrade in the tire and rim size cause it to drive poorly? I do not pull a trailer very much and if I were to do so it wouldnt be anything with a very heavy load. the truck came stock with 265/65/18. Any insight and opinions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

You'll be good to go. The six speed trans uses a very low first gear which makes the 3.08 gear more like a 3.73 gear. Your new tires are not going to be much bigger overall... diameter wise. I'd recommend a BB tune to get the most out of the truck and reset the speedo for the new rubber!
