Rim/tire Advice 2010 Silverado Crew Cab.

With winter approaching I'm getting ready to put a set of Michelin X snow tires for my stock 17" rims.

I've been looking into purchasing a new set of summer rims/tires and avoid having to make the trip into the tire shop twice a year and have my tires swapped over.

I'm interested in 22" inch rims for my summer tires but I'm concerned with them rubbing. I'm not overly interested in doing a lot of modification to make them work. I won’t be running large off road tires because my truck serves as my wife's minivan when I'm out at work.

Would someone please either point me to a place that has some good information or give me some information about what will actually fit rim/tire wise on my vehicle. It would be greatly appreciated.

I've been looking at something like this:

Those wheels would look sharp.

Go to www.gmaccessorieszone.com and look what the manufacturer recommends for 22s. They are 285 45 22s

Make sure you do a little research so you get the right offset.

Perfect this was what I wanted to kinda double check. I'm reading somewhere in the realm of 28-32mm offset is what I want.

Tirerack pulls up rims that are all recomend 275/45 22 so just slightly skinnier than the stock tires. I'm not entirely sure how Important that is. I'll do more reading. I wasnt sure if the larger rim size was going to equate to rubbing in the fender well.

I imagine if I can figure out what the stock backspacing and offset I should be in good shape.

I wasnt sure if I could trust tirerack to not just sugest anything that fit a Chevy lug pattern.

(I live in Alaska and the local shop mark up is high enough that its worth it to just buy them down south mounted and balanced =/ )

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!
