I got a set of a/t tires(in my sig) awhile back and they were pretty quiet and it seems they are getting louder..it use to be just a hum now its becoming a growl..is this normal? i haven't had a set of all terrains in probably a good 4 years so i'm a bit out of the loop..tires are wearing well, just have an odd sound to them, and yes i know all terrains make noise, but this noise just isen't the smooth hum when i first got them..i drive pretty much all highway, no real offroading or abuse from hauling/towing.

I agree, most tires get louder as they wear. Rub your hands over the outside edges of the tread on your front tires. If they are starting to feather or cup, that will make them a little louder. Mud and AT tires on a 4x4 need to be rotated regularly. They will stay quieter if they wear evenly.
