Radio Backlights

The other day my all of my radio backlights went out in my 2005 Silverado. Seemed really strange. Could it be a fuse or did they really all go out at the same time? The radio works fine just at night the backlights that light the controls don't work. Thanks for any help.

Don't know about all of them at the same time, but it's common for the bulbs to burn out in the 2003+ radios and accessories. I had 1 burn out and I took the radio apart to see what was needed to fix it. By doing so, I lost 3 more bulbs. I replaced all the bulbs in the radio with 12V 50mA bulbs from Radio Shack. There are 3 larger bulbs that I could not locate that illuminate the preset buttons. I think those are 12V 100mA bulbs, but nobody knows. Since the radio change in 2003, many Delco radio service centers said they don't repair them anymore. They only service up to 2002. I've just been waiting till the day I can replace mine.

try and tap your dash board close to the radio, I've had that happen before and a quick love tap will do the trick sometimes.
