Should I Be Getting Better Gas Mileage?

Ok so I have a 2010 5.3L with the 3.43 gears its a crew cab 4x4. I was surprised to see my mileage is nowhere near what it is claimed to be. I get around 15.5L/100km on average, this seems low and I am driving with a light foot. I am concerned the AFM isn't working properly because even when I have the cruise on and am driving on a flat stretch of highway it stays in V8 mode (driving about 110km/h or 65mph) the V4 kicks in at lower speeds but never on the highway, is this how it should be?

i think thats about right... how many miles are on the truck? engines once worn in a little bit it will get better MPG's

Pretty average in town for me.I finally took a road trip all hwy and got 18.5.
