The heated seats on driver side have started to cycle on and off.

This problem just started. It happend the last two rotations of my work schedule ( 7 days on & 7 days off ). 1st time - Upon initial startup after sitting 7 days the heater started cycling through all settings on driver side only. It cycled continuously for about the first 45 min. I did not pay attention to the volt meter, I just assumed it was a weak battery, ( approx. 24 months old ) since the problem went away for the rest of my 7 days off.

2nd time - again after 7 days turned off, initial startup and the heater started cycling again. However I did notice this time that the volt meter was varying as well as low as est. 12 and high 14+, I assumed this was due to the draw of the heater. This particular time the problem continued througout my trip home, approx. 2hrs. A few times during the trip the heater cut of and the volt returned to normal, with no varying.

On this trip I decided to pull the fuse on heater and worry about problem once I got home. However

reading the manual while driving is hard!!

Pulled over two times and pulled the fuse I thought was the heater, both were wrong. So i guess you can dismiss this part of the poor attempt to solve my problem. Each time I did this I did turn the truck on and off.

Each time after the first day home, never had the problem again. Now I am at work again and wondering If it will do it again.

While home this time I did have the battery tested and alternator checked by a reputable repair shop. However, I did not witness it.

I do not have any after market added parts, radio's, etc. Nothing plugged to 12volt outlets, etc.

Note: I am having the same HVAC problem with actuator arm on passenger side not cycling as others I have read about in past topics, just a little history. I will post in another topic.
