Have A Few Different Questions

Hey everyone..... ..... just have 3 random questions.

1. Does anyone happen to know if the rear handles off of a tahoe/yukon/silvy/sierra will work on the front doors? I know I will not have my key hole but I kind of want to get rid of it anyway.

2. My passenger seat has an annoying ass squeek when i hit any little bump. I can push on the side of the seat just a little and it stops. I can even just fold up a towel and wedge it between my jumper seat and the passenger seat and it stops. Anyone taken that seat out and apart? Im thinking of trying to tighten and spraying silicone lube around that area???

3. When i hit my brakes my taillights will not come on until the pedal is pushed down pretty hard. I can hit the pedal and will be slowing down without the lights on. I can be completely stopped and barely, i mean barely move my foot and the lights go off without me even moving. Normally this wouldn't bother me too much but im in tons of stop and go traffic and do not want to get hit by some idiot. Anyone else have this problem and know of a fix?

Thanks in advance guys

1. if you want the rear door handle to fit the front, you will have to switch out the metal latch that are on them. they have different size latches that hold the rod to open the door.

2. mine doesnt sqeak, cant help you there.

3. never noticed that. im going to have to check that out.

Hmmmm. ok thanks..... is the latch self explanatory? i have taken these handles off before. im getting two rear ones shipped to me im wanting to put on. any chance you have a pic? yea check out the brake light issue.... i think its just an issue with mine because i have looked at others as they drive and theirs seem to act "normal". im just hoping someone knows what the issue is

1. Not sure

2. Mine does not do it. Try changing the position of the seat or seatback and make sure the bolts are tight.

3. Yes it is a problem, I've taken it in and the dealer says it's normal. My wife was rear ended this time last year when she was a complete stop and the lady said that she didn't see the brake lights. They have a new switch but it's not much better.

I can move the position front and back, and tilt it and sometimes i find the sweet spot until i hit a big enough bump

As for the switch ( I hope your wife was/is ok)..... all i can say is WTF!? :D how much did the new one cost you? Is it just the luck of the draw because other GM trucks i see arent like that?

Should be able to reposition the sensor on the brake pedal no?

The problem is the spring inside the thing. Even the new version is messed up. A member here did a post on how to modify by shortening the spring and this fixed the problem. I will try to find it. See page 20, post #286 on how to modify the stock switch to make it work properly.

And how will you unlock your door if your key fob battery dies on you ?
