i decided to check all my fluids today incase a snow storm hits, and then decided to crawl under the front end and take a peek, realised i have no idea what i'm looking for as far as wear or problems...i know your suppose to jack the truck up and wiggle the tires to check for play but is their a way to just tell by looking? my ball joints are covered in grease and the tires look like they are aligned..

lusty, have your dealer do an inspection twice a year or more often if you rat bag your truck, on the front end, it does not take to long and should not cost to much( get an estimate first)

have the truck aligned if its tight so you have done everything for your peace of mind motoring.alignments cost an hour labour

enjoy oh lustywormy !!!!!!

I have the dealer perform the FREE 127 point inpection with the Oil change.....I ask that they pay particular attention to Front End and Suspension

did you actually crawl under the truck, and while you were on the cold ground staring at your truck, you then realized you dont know what to look for?

Have a buddy fire it up and wiggle the steering wheel. Inspect all the joints for play. Jack under the control arm as far out as you can, and put a pry bar under the tire. Lift up using a smooth motion. You shoulnt feel any play.
