Steering Wheel Radio Buttons

Hello, My question is Are the radio volume buttons backlit? The reason I ask is that mine are not lit and I don't have another truck to compare it to. I guess I'm off to the dealer for my 1st warrenty repair if so.

Mine are not. I have everything LTZ package has except leather, I think. So I do not have the LTZ package if it helps...

they are not..... looks like they forgot about 2 bulbs

I had my 07 for 3-1/2 years before I found out I had courtesy signal flashers

There is a guy on flea-bay that will refurbish your buttons with long-life LEDs if you ship him your buttons. New ones at dealer are 15 to 25 bucks each. Evidently the OEM bulbs don't last long at all. Good Luck!

I dont think they were designed to be backlit.. so I doubt you could add the "missing" LEDs into them? I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. Considering their placement, they're not really visible from the drivers point of view, like they weren't meant to be seen, just felt.

They flash 3 times, unless you have a trailor hooked up - then they flash 6 times. i like that feature!

I agree with mc7719, the volume paddles are not visible to anyone in the drivers seat so I am not sure illumination is needed there?

the gmt900's are not made to be backlit.... the 800's were though
